The floor pans are in great shape w/ very minimal surface rust also seen in pics.Other than that there are a few areas that are a little discolored but no visible rust.There is one dent that would need to be repaired to make the body pretty much spotless on the drivers rear corner.Its not that bad though!At some point someone has installed a cb antenna on the drivers side of the bed that needs to go & also put the radio antenna on the passenger side of the bed instead of the front cowl panel. There also have been holes drilled on both sides for snaps on a tonneau bed cover. At some point there has been a custom built oversized fuel tank installed,overload springs & receiver hitch in the rear.(see pics.)well i think that pretty much sums up this 30 year old jeep. This rarely seen jeep is called a "garage service jeep" and is shown in various early sales catalogs. Here are the details of the running gear: original 4 cylinder Hurricane 4 cylinder, T-98 granny low transmission, original dual wheel model 70 rear end, standard model 25 front end. When jeep built dual wheel models they normally had two different gear ratios front and rear and tried to make up for the difference with two different tire sizes on two different style rims. Originally there were 5.87 gears in the model 70 and 5.38 gears in the model 25 front. It didn't work out real well and a lot of duallys out there had broken gear sets. I have installed matching 4.88 gears front and rear and have used all the same rims and tires. Drives perfect with the 4.88's. The turn signal lever does not cancel on its own, you have to manually turn off the blinkers. Finally when I was moving it for photos the neutral safety switch went out on me. It has been bored 20 over with TRW flat top pistons. The carb is a Weber 2 bbl. The clutch is new with the original 3 speed. There is a Mean Green HI-Torque starter, Mallory Ignition and Flex Fan. The exterior is Mercedes Bahama Blue, with front fenders, side panels and hood. The windshield is new (with the gasket and channel).
