1979 CJ-7
Description
This 1979 CJ-7, Levi Edition, Quadtra-Trac, It had a rebuilt straight six 258 in it that ran great and has the reliability of starting with the first turn of the key. As old as it was, a new set of SuperLift springs with a 1" lift as well as new shocks were first to go on to make room for the 31" tires, soon to be followed by an Energy Suspensions complete replacement master bushing set was an easy decision as the place to start. All the old rubber bushings were then swapped with the new Polyurethane replacements. The tie rod tubes as well as tie rod ends were all replaced with new. A new gas tank was installed as well as new fuel filters and sending unit. Next we rewired the whole Jeep using one of Painless Wirings factory style, pre terminated harnesses to get fresh, clean, uninterrupted power to finish things off. This one was finished to be very reliable and useable daily, yet cheap enough to add the accessories a new owner would want to personalize it to their taste. Or it could be purchased with the piece of mind knowing it's not going to cost much more than gas and insurance to own this one and be able to rely on it for years to come.

This is an email from the buyer of the above 1979 CJ-7....
You know I thought It was about time and way over due that I expressed my appreciation for all your hard work. The CJ that I purchased from you has been a real pleasure. It is a fun car to drive both on and off the road and I thank you for your patience with all my questions since I took delivery of the Jeep. The whole buying experience and the follow up has been most professional and rather unexpected in the world we live in. I got what I paid for a real beauty of CJ and if the opportunity presented itself I would not hesitate to buy another Jeep through Hot Stuf. Also if you ever need to recommend a good shipper Enclosed Vehicle Transport (888) 827 - 6799 gave the CJ the white glove treatment it deserved.
Again thanks for all your help and stay in touch.
Kind regards,
Jeremy...Quality and customer service is our top priority!

Some more of the Jeeps that we have built and sold...
This Jeep has it all....A rollerized small block powers this professionally built show winning creation. It has a 2 1/2" skyjacker suspension lift with a 1" body lift to accommodate the 35X13.5X15" Mickey Thompson Baja Claws. All body mounts and bushings were replaced with new polyurethane. This has double shocks on the front, rear, and steering stabilizers. It also sports skid plates front and rear to protect the diffs. The inside of this jeep was mostly custom built. It utilizes a Painless Wiring harness to give fresh clean power to all points, an Ididit tilt column with a grant steering wheel. All the gauges and components were replaced with new. The interior tub was sprayed with spray in liner before carpeting to help with rust proofing and sound deadening. Bucket seats were made to fit this Jeep's small size to give extra room for the seating area, then upholstered as well as the custom roll bar. Sound system is a Pioneer CD Player that stays locked in a Tuffy console when you are away from the Jeep. It has a custom built speaker box which holds two 12" sub woofers and two 6"X9" speakers, it is powered by two Alpine V-12 amps which are safely hidden under the seat mount. This Jeep was built by a custom 4X4 shop for display and advertising purposes. It has been used in T.V. comercials and several different promos. It has been a solid first place winner at car shows and 4X4 events. There are several more modifications that are not listed here that any Jeep owner would certainly appreciate.
This is a 02 Grand Cherokee that wound up here in town as a dealer trade and came to us in need of some serious suspension servicing so we worked on it and played with it for a few days and gave it back to the dealership now ready to sell.

This is another letter of
appreciation from one of our customers... 2008 S. Gillette Avenue July 18, 2003 RE: Hot Stuf Jeep Restoration To all concerned: This is an unsolicited letter of praise regarding the work done by Hot Stuf of Gillette, WY on my 1979 Levis/Renegade Jeep CJ-7 My jeep has been a work in progress for over 10 years and involved a great deal of blood, sweat, tears, and money. Before going to Hot Stuff, I already had sunk about $5-6000 in it mostly on sheet metal, paint, and mechanical work. This Jeep has been moved across the country many times due to job relocations and in August of 2002 we were moved to Wyoming for what appears to be the long haul. This Jeep has been in 4x4 shops in Michigan, Nebraska, West Virginia, and now Wyoming. I was a service engineer for General Motors Locomotive Group for almost 15 years and demand and expect nothing less than for a job to be done right the first time. I continue in the service engineering field today.. Until 2002, I also owned a small antique tractor restoration shop that took painstaking detail to rebuild 1940’s vintage Ford and International tractors properly. My professional career and side line business have taught me over and over again the problems associated with taking shortcuts. In short, I am a nit picker. In moving to Gillette, my Jeep was getting close to the completion stage other than needing major suspension rebuild and a wiring harness along with other petty things. Not having the space or time to work on it myself in a new house, I checked around the community and was referred to Will Morgan at Hot Stuff. After relentless questioning of Will Morgan (owner of Hot Stuff) on my part, I gained confidence that Hot Stuff would not only do the work I wanted but do it right and at a fair price. In my book, quality takes first priority. Anybody can slap on a set of springs and a wiring harness but I wanted bolts double checked, wiring clean, loomed, heat shrinked, and an extra effort made to detail my Jeep right. I had too much in it to take to a bunch of high school punks that claimed they could do it when they have never done much before but throw on bolt on accessories. Hot Stuff recommended high quality parts and the service and attention to detail has been superb. While I wanted my Jeep done by a certain date, they called me in frequently to advise of things they found. Hot Stuff always had the questionable pieces out and showed me exactly what they found. Never did I get the impression that they were trying to slam me with unnecessary parts or labor. While my Jeep is about a month late in getting done, I feel very confident that the job has been done right and now I do not have to worry about worn out components that are going to fail in a month or two. I would rather have it right and late than slapped together on time. Hot Stuff proclaims themselves as Jeep experts and based on the work I have had done by them, I support that claim. The workmanship great, the materials used are first rate, and the costs are very reasonable compared with the "bigger and well known" 4x4 shops throughout the country. If Hot Stuff is given the time and resources, they will do it right and you will be extremely satisfied. Jesse Corbett
