4.2 liter AMC inline 6 cylinder engine – optimized by Clifford Performance parts (lifters, intake, and large cast iron valve cover which is designed to hold more oil for better compression), Weber 32/36 off-road carburetor, headman headers which feed into a FlowMaster muffler, and leave the jeep via a 3’’ custom bent exhaust pipe. This Jeep breaths from an ARB safari snorkel which then feeds into an Intense Performance 7’’ Spun Aluminum cold air canister, which houses a K&N filter designed for mass flow air filtration. This Jeep receives its power through a Mallory Electronic Distributor that then feeds into a Jacobs Power coil for optimum spark and power. An Optima, yellow top, battery powers all electronics and “extras”. The sound system is 100% custom built … the speakers utilized are MB Quart boat speakers which means they are German built and water proof – and YES they can howl. In the rear of the Jeep is a custom built, “down firing” bass box which houses two Rockford-Fosgate 12’’ woofers … all sound is powered by a single Rockford-Fosgate amp which is intelligently placed in a Tuffy locking console in between the front two seats. In the rear of the vehicle, along with above the two seats are two more Tuffy locking consoles … the rear console is ideal for tools, miscellaneous parts, cables, and anything else a true Jeep owner needs but would prefer to have locked down. The front console which is mounted between the roll bar and the window is designed for two more speakers and a CB; however, I use this space to lock down music and stuff used for winching.
