It was used light hunting and neighborhood errands. Always garaged and well maintained. Prospective buyers are welcome to pull a CarFax report to verify the one-owner status and accident-free history. This Jeep came stocked with a AMC-304 cid V8 with a 2-barrel carb. I put 91,000 miles on the original engine, then I installed a completely rebuilt 360 cid AMC which has 400 miles on it. Call me at your convenience. I will be happy to detail all the improvements over the phone. New clutch, new pressure plate. Rebuilt T50 3-speed transmission. New paint job, new decal kit. New fender flares. New carpet, shifters, steering wheel, dash knobs. New tires 32" X 1150 with less than 900 miles. New exhaust system. Overhead light rack with 4 each 300,000 watt KC Hi-lights. Full set of 1978 Jeep manuals, includes engine, frame, trim and running gear. This CJ was a special edition, very few were equiped like it. It has power steering, power assisted brakes, a dashboard, built-in factory tachometer, center console, small 4 bbl Holley carborator. 5 Keystone Turbine wheels. Hooker headers for better breathing and operating temps. 1-1/2" lift kit, new body bushings. Everything works on this jeep except the clock. This is a one-owner jeep. This was a jeep that belonged to a fire department prior to me getting it. I have all of the original paperwork on the jeep to include all of the maintenance records from the fire station. These records further back up the low milage of only nine thousand original miles. I have redone this jeep from the ground up with the help of a certified mechanic who has been working on vehicles for over 30 years. It is now in near perfect condition except for the passanger seat.The body is rust free and is all original. I did not want to alter the stockness of this vehicle so I never took it to a body shop for touchups. The paint is the original red except the interior, which I painted dark metalic blue. The underside of the jeep has been painted and undercoated. It does not have heat or air, but I do have an electric heater unit that comes with the jeep.
