Moab Utah Jeep Jamboree 2006...

 | invite us to an event |

Here are some pictures that were taken from the Jeep Jamboree USA jamboree held on October 20th-22nd 2006 in Moab Utah. Moab is an outdoor lovers paradise, there is something there for all outdoor enthusiasts from rafting, kayaking, hiking, mountain biking, photo ops, nature walks to my favorite wheeling. For this event there were a little over 200 participants and close to hundred vehicles. It is always amazing on the first day of any Jamboree when the Jeepers all start to arrive and you begin to see the creativity of some of these individuals as well as the excitement of the first timers.

We see more and more people that go on these long weekend jamborees for a family outing, that's what this Jeeping lifestyle is all about the friends that you make along the way and the people that you get to see again that have been on other Jamborees at the same time, and spending time outdoors with friends and family. There are so many reasons that these jamborees are so much fun for people of all ages, they are held in an environment that parents can bring the kids and teach them about nature and the outdoors. Show them that there is something other than a computer to be interested in and at the same time, teach them about the importance of treading lightly. It's a great way to have a weekend, family outing.

Another great thing about the Jamboree is that there are plenty of trails from easy to hard and the participants get to choose which ones they want to see depending on each drivers comfort and capabilities. For some folks there is a comfort knowing that there are guides and other people there with wheeling backgrounds that are there willing to help get them through the trails and obstacles in a safe manner. Many of you that have been to these types of events will know what I am talking about, those who haven't yet gone on their first Jeep Jamboree but may be thinking about  doing so.... I encourage you to check into the Jeep Jamboree schedule to see what they have to offer. There are many different jamborees planned all across the US and offer a variety of terrains and types of off-roading, some trails will require certain vehicle requirements like tow hooks. Check with Jeep Jamboree USA at www.jeepjamboreeusa.com for a complete schedule and indication of what requirements are listed for each trail.

I also want to take the opportunity here to send out a special thanks to the guys at Moab 4X4 Outpost. These guys were great, there was one participant that had his transfer case go out on him and the guys at Moab 4X4 Outpost stayed until the wee hours of the morning (on a Friday night no less) to get him up and running so he would be able to wheel the next day. I myself, had broken my rear shock mounts and went by to see when they could get me in, without blinking an eye they told me " pull it in ". Within a couple of hours they had the new mount constructed, welded in place and me back on the road and I was pleasantly surprised at how affordable it was. I highly recommend that if you are in Moab or are heading that way and either need something or have any breakage look these guys up. They give top notch customer service and their work speaks volumes as well, they can be reached at (435)-259-1109 or online at www.moab4x4outpost.com.

Hope you enjoyed the pics and are considering a trip of your own to Moab or to any of the other great gatherings that Jeep Jamboree USA has to offer. Happy Jeepin and I'll see ya on the trails.
